Liar, Liar

Let’s play the game two truths, one lie. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s a simple exercise in which you tell a group of people (or, for our purposes, a blank sheet of paper) two things that are true about you and one thing that’s a lie. It’s up to them to guess which one of the three tidbits are made up.

Do you have an outrageous story in your life that other people wouldn’t believe? Or, is there something that’s just quite plausible but a little off at the same time?

Write down your truths and a lie as well as the stories you would tell to convince “the others” that they are all real.

How does telling a lie as a narrator add depth to your writing? Take some inspiration from “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe as a jumping-off point.
